SINGLE NIGHT STAYS
These are not available to book in advance during the
school holiday dates above. If we do have odd nights left, we will
make them available on a day-by-day basis, bookable no earlier than
24 hours beforehand.
Other information
Visit Britain "star rating" scheme
We have left this scheme as it was not cost-effective
to be a member with just the one room to let. However in 2007-8 we
were officially assessed at a three star rating and expect that we
would continue to be at least at that level in the future.
Parking
We have space for your car or motorcycle here in our car
park, no need to street-park or use public car parks.
Cycle lockup
We have a covered area at the side of the house where
you can lock up your pushbikes.
Check in/out times
Rooms are usually ready by 4.30pm, but you can arrive
earlier if you wish, park your car here and come back later. Please
check out by 10.30am on the final morning.
Evening meals
We can no longer provide evening meals under any circumstances.
But there are plenty of places to eat right
on the doorstep.
Packed lunches and onward luggage for walkers
These can be arranged if you let us know your requirements
before you arrive, please make a note on the booking form.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Cancellations
Received 7 days or more before 1pm
on your arrival date - no charge. Received less than 7 days before
1pm on your arrival date, 100% of the cost of the first night and
50% of any subsequent nights' rooms we were unable to re-let (no
charge if the rooms were re-let). No notification received until
after 1pm on your arrival date, no notification at all [i.e. no-show],
or turning up and rejecting the room that you asked for - 100% of
the cost of your entire booking. To make sure you are not charged
a cancellation fee, please telephone as soon as you can and confirm
by email, fax or letter wherever possible. Any credit/debit card
number you gave us, or deposit paid (any extra payment necessary
being made within 7 days), will be used for the cancellation charge.
Changes to bookings
We need 7 days notice of any amendments to bookings (e.g.
more or fewer guests, change of dates, etc.) or cancellation charges
could be incurred. If once you have arrived, you then check out earlier
than you had originally intended, you will still incur the cost
of the room(s) you booked.
Refusal or cancellation of your booking by
us
Extremely rarely, we may refuse accommodation or cancel
or terminate a guest's booking for any reason. Any deposit paid in
advance of the stay would be returned. If the period of stay has
already commenced, incurred tariff items would be settled up to the
point of departure.
Booking
To confirm a reservation we require advance payment of at least £10
per adult per night Paypal/cash/cheque deposit, which may be refundable
if the cancellation conditions are met.
Payments
Payment of the bill for accommodation and food and any other services
must be made prior to departure unless prior arrangement has been made
to send a business invoice.
Check-in
Guests can check in any time from 4pm to 9pm, and although before 4pm
the room may not be prepared, you can usually still leave your car
and drop off your luggage.
Check-out
Guests must vacate their room between 7am and 10.30am on the final morning
although cars can be left in the car park and/or luggage left in the
reception area until 4pm. You will incur accommodation charges for the
following day if you are late checking out.
Guests' lost or damaged property
Guests must make their own arrangements for protection against loss or
damage to their property left on the premises (particularly electrical
or other valuable items) as we do not provide a safekeeping service.
If you are leaving cameras, music players, laptops, cash, jewellery etc.
unattended they should be securely stored in your room or in the boot
of your car. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to
your property or your vehicle whilst staying with us.
Also, because of the many items that get left behind in rooms (either
intentionally or by mistake) we rely on guests to phone us when they
notice something is missing, that they would like returned to their possession.
So please notify us immediately you think you have lost something on
the premises - if it turns up we will let you know, and make arrangements
to send it on to you if you have checked-out.
Loss from or damage to our property
We reserve the right to charge guests for damage, extra cleaning, or
loss of our furnishings and/or equipment at the full replacement cost.
Any credit card used to pay for your stay will be charged accordingly.

Please ensure you have read this web site as it provides comprehensive
information about our accommodation and the various attractions nearby,
so that your expectations can be met. If when you are here you find that
something is not as you expected, or you have any other problem, please
let us know as soon as possible, and in any event before you check out,
and we will do our best to find a solution.
Smoking and pets
Neither are allowed on the premises, except that smokers may use the
garden area and dogs may sleep in the owner's car in the car park. |
