TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please check the following fairly standard points before making your booking.

Changes to bookings
We need 48 hours notice of any amendments to bookings (e.g. more or fewer guests, change of dates, etc.) or cancellation charges could be incurred. If once you have arrived, you then check out earlier than you had originally intended, again 48 hours notice is required or you will still incur the cost of the room(s) you booked.

Refusal or cancellation of your booking by us
Extremely rarely, we may refuse accommodation or cancel or terminate a guest's booking for any reason. Any deposit paid in advance of the stay would be returned. If the period of stay has already commenced, incurred tariff items would be settled up to the point of departure.

Booking
To confirm a reservation we require valid credit/debit card details, or a £10 per adult per night cash/cheque deposit, which may be refundable if the cancellation conditions opposite are met. The usual arrangement is to only actually charge your card on departure unless you pay by cash or cheque when checking out. If you would like to pay a larger deposit in advance please let us know. All credit/debit card numbers provided to us are computer-checked for validity and securely captured.

Payments
Payment of the bill for accommodation and food and any other services must be made prior to departure, by cash, cheque, or credit/debit card, unless prior arrangement has been made to send a business invoice. We are not VAT registered. There is a small surcharge payable for settlement of final bills using credit or debit card. If you have not provided credit/debit card details, we may ask for payment of your accommodation bill in full on arrival, and/or a security deposit of £100 which would be returned to you when you leave.

Check-in
Guests can check in any time from 9am to 9pm, and although before 4pm the room may not be prepared, you can usually still leave your car and drop off your luggage. Please give us an estimated time of arrival and notify us if this changes significantly, as we organise our daily schedules around incoming guests. If we can't be around when you arrive we will leave a note on the door for you with instructions. We may not be able to accommodate you if you intend to arrive after 9pm and have not previously advised us of this fact.

Check-out
Guests must vacate their room between 7am and 11am on the final morning although cars can be left in the car park and/or luggage left in the reception area until 4pm. You will incur accommodation charges for the following day if you are late checking out.

Guests' lost or damaged property
"I've mislaid my I-Pod", or "have you seen my Game Boy" are the kind of phrases we are beginning to hear more and more often. To prevent any misunderstanding, guests must make their own arrangements for protection against loss or damage to their property left on the premises (particularly electrical or other valuable items) as we do not provide a safekeeping service. If you are leaving cameras, music players, laptops, cash, jewellery etc. unattended they should be securely stored in your room or in the boot of your car. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your property or your vehicle whilst staying with us.

Also, because of the many items that get left behind in rooms (either intentionally or by mistake) we rely on guests to phone us when they notice something is missing, that they would like returned to their possession. So please notify us immediately you think you have lost something on the premises - if it turns up we will let you know, and make arrangements to send it on to you if you have checked-out.

Loss from or damage to our property
We reserve the right to charge guests for damage, extra cleaning, or loss of our furnishings and/or equipment at the full replacement cost. Any credit card used to pay for your stay will be charged accordingly.

Any problems?
Please ensure you have read this web site as it provides comprehensive information about our accommodation and the various attractions nearby, so that your expectations can be met. If when you are here you find that something is not as you expected, or you have any other problem, please let us know as soon as possible, and in any event before you check out, and we will do our best to find a solution.

Smoking and pets
Neither are allowed on the premises, except that smokers may use the garden area and dogs may sleep in the owner's car in the car park.

Food and drink
Consumption of guests' own (e.g. take-away) food is allowed on the premises but not in the public area at times when other guests are dining from our evening menu. If you are consuming your own drinks in the public area, as we are a licensed establishment we ask that you buy something from our drinks selection as well.
